Who Are We?

Shop Hop Redding is an organization of greater Redding area small business owners. We work together to promote the local shopping experience.

We believe that local "mom and pop" merchants offer quality, service, uniqueness and value not found in "Big Box" Stores.

Our Mission

To raise the level of awareness of locally-owned "mom and pop" places to shop, eat, and drink in the cities of Redding, Anderson, and Shasta Lake City.

Member Stores Membership Criteria

We welcome local merchants to join our organization. However, we strictly limit the group to 15 members in order to maintain a rigid focus and dedication to our Mission and Charter.

Store owners wishing to become future members should attend one of our meetings and sign up on the waiting list.

The criteria to join and remain a member are:

• Less than $1 million in annual gross revenues.
• Not a franchise.
• Willing to attend and participate in monthly meetings.
• Willing to participate physically and financially in co-operative marketing and advertising efforts.

A member that fails to meet the criteria listed above will be replaced by a new store off the waiting list.

Member Stores Charter

Members of Shop Hop Redding must truly believe in the following charter:

• Use every chance possible to promote each other's businesses.
• Work as a co-op team to share resources, allowing us greater reach with our marketing and advertising budgets.
• Even though some member stores may carry similar products our true competition are the "Big Box" stores that take local dollars and send them outside the greater Redding area.
